After the district of Kassel and the Werra Meißner borough as follow-up region, were selected by HMULV (Hessen Ministry for Environmental, Agriculture and Consumer Protection) as bio-region wood “Meißner-Kaufunger Wald" in 2007, evident success in increased use of fuel wood can already be reported.
