"Bioland" - Network
The “Bioland” farmers in the Werra-Meißner district are organized in a regional group. Several times a year meetings are organised to exchange ideas. Various topics are addressed then, such as questions about agriculture or livestock, or general subjects such as genetic engineering and climate change. These meetings are not least of all intended to exchange ideas and to interact, so that the farmers can get to know each other and learn from each other. In total the Werra-Meißner-district has 30 “Bioland” farms, many with farm shops, in addition to contractual partners, such as bakeries, which process the raw materials of the “Bioland” farmers.
